Zucchini wrapped Haloumi on Rosemary Skewers 🤤🌿👌 So so good!! Hit save for summer/ zucchini ideas ✅

Zucchini are in abundance atm and I’m currently obsessed with my new wide veggie peeler so this was a great combo 😂💚

These Zucchini wrapped haloumi skewers are so delicious and easy to make! Marinated in my favourite green sauce plus the Rosemary flavour also infuses during cooking. I made this during one of my YouTube live streams and had to share the recipe! Serve on a fresh salad or with a charcuterie board. These would also be great for summer BBQs.

HOW 🥒👇

Step 1: Make Zucchini ribbons using a wide vegetable peeler

Step 2: make a flavour packed herb dressing - I used the green chimichurri from my membership. Marinate the Haloumi and zucchini strips.

Step 3: Roll squares of haloumi in zucchini strips and skewer on a Rosemary Stick

Step 4: Cook on a medium heat with a little olive oil until golden on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside.

Serve with a vibrant fresh garden salad 💚🌱✅🌿

Harvest often! The more you pick the more the plant will continue to produce for you. If you leave them too long the plant thinks it has done it’s job and produced seeds for a new generation. So in turn it slows down production.

Now that I’m back from holidays lots of regular mini harvests will happen! 🍅🥬🌶️🥒🫑🧅🥕

ALL the Pumpkin growing tips!! 🎃 PLUS, did you know the leaves and flowers are edible? Incredible food producing plant 🙌

🌱 WHEN - Sow seeds in late winter-spring or seedling early summer

🌱 SOIL - Rich fertile compost and well-drained soil. They are hungry! 🐖

🌱 LOCATION - Sunny Position 6rs. Space to grow. 1m2 per plant.

🌱 CARE- Water regularly. Avoid wetting the leaves.

🌱 FERTILISE -Feed with compost, mulch and liquid fertiliser.

🌱 PESTS -Slaters, slugs may get young plants. Rats can get to the pumpkins.

🌱 HARVEST -From 70-120 days. Once the vines start to die off and the stem is hard

🌱 REPRODUCE -Save seeds from the best-tasting pumpkins to create an endless supply!

🚀 EXTRA TIP 🚀

Place a stick or marker where you plant the seedling so you know where to water once established and don’t wet the leaves. Wet leaves can cause powdery mildew.

Mini Garden Tour 🌱🐝🍅 Turning my frontyard into a productive edible garden is such a rewarding process 🌳🌱🥕

After a rough few months earlier this year my gardens were abandoned but they are slowly springing back into life. Very excited to again be harvesting all the fresh food just two steps out my front door.

The blue banded bees 🐝 have been busy pollinating my tomatoes. These native bees are excellent tomato pollinators because they have such a strong vibrating buzz. I can even hear them from office inside the house 😍 Slightly distracting when I’m running out all the time with my camera 😂

Current favourite 😍💜 why and where do have this planted? 👇 This edible plant is also incredibly ornamental and a powerhouse pollinator plant 🐝
It’s important to create relationships in the garden that have as many benefits as possible. This beautiful flower is attracting so many bees to my patch at the same time that my pumpkin, zucchini and tomatoes are flowering. This means I will get more successful pollination = more food 🙌 Plus the bees are super happy 🐝 and we need to care for our 🐝 I have this Artichoke planted in my pumpkin patch to bring in all the bees and it is working! This plant is the talk of the town! I’m obsessed and so are the bees 🐝 so much so that I had to get another plant from @down2earthlife 🙌🙌
